REFRIGERATOR ROLLS I
1 C. boiling water 1 C. milk 1/2 C. sugar 1 T. salt 2 T. shortening 2 pkg. yeast 1/4 C. lukewarm water 1 tsp. sugar 2 1g. beaten eggs, room temperature 7 to 8 C. flour Mix boiling water, milk, 1/2 cup sugar, salt and shortening together. Cool to lukewarm. Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water. Add 1 teaspoon sugar and dissolve. Stir into first mixture. Add beaten eggs; stir in 4 cups flour and beat well. Stir in 4 more cups - flour. Mix thoroughly but do not knead. Cover and put in refrigerator until ready to use. Form into rolls; put on greased pans and let rise until double in bulk. Place in 400 degree oven for 12 minutes. After baking, brush with melted margarine for soft tops.
