CHRISTMAS PUNCH
3 C. sugar 1 1/2 qt. sparkling water 2 C. lemon juice 1 qt. chilled sauterne wine 1 fresh pineapple, cubed 1 qt. fresh strawberries 1 C. sugar lightly sugared 1 block ice (make in large Jell-O mold) 2 bot. champagne (Andres) Mix together the dry Kool-Aid, pineapple juice, sugar and water. Chill in refrigerator. Just before serving, pour chilled mixture into punch bowl; add ginger ale; stir and float dollops of lime sherbet on top.
You may substitute the Kool-Aid and sherbet above with Tropical Punch Kool-Aid and pineapple sherbet, or orange Kool-Aid and orange sherbet, depending on the holidays.
May double recipe.
May add vodka, if desired.
This basic punch can be used at any holiday or special occasion. The sherbet makes it special.
2 3-az. pkg. lime Kool-Aid
1 46-az. can pineapple juice
2 C. sugar
2 qt. water
1 qt. ginger ale
Lime sherbet
