Network on Elimination of Gender Apartheid
ENDING GENDER APARTHEID
FOR JUSTICE AND EQUALITY
WHO WE ARE
A Unified Voice Against Gender Apartheid in Afghanistan
The Gender Apartheid Abolition Network (NEGA) was formed in response to the systematic escalation of gender apartheid in Afghanistan. We are an independent, Afghan-centric, and feminist-driven coalition of activists, researchers, and civil society organizations united by a shared belief: ending this system requires a collective, inclusive, and independent movement.
Rooted in intersectional feminism and collective leadership, we strive for a just, free, and equal society. Our mission is to advocate for the official recognition and criminalization of gender apartheid, document the realities on the ground, and mobilize global support to defend the fundamental rights and human dignity of Afghan women and girls.
